Simmonds Marshall Limited was founded in 1960 as a private limited company in collaboration with Firth Cleveland Fastenings Ltd., U.K., which initially held 51% equity. Over time, the foreign shareholding was reduced and fully acquired by the promoters by 1987. The company went public in 1986 and is now listed on the stock exchange. Simmonds Marshall specializes in manufacturing a wide range of specialized nylon insert self-locking nuts and other special fasteners.
The company has significantly increased its cold forming capacity and can produce over 500 million nuts annually, ranging in size from M4 to M48 and equivalent imperial sizes. These nuts comply with various international standards, including American, British, Japanese, ISO, and Indian, and come in multiple thread forms and protective finishes. Additionally, Simmonds Marshall operates multi-spindle automatic bar turning centers capable of producing related automotive components. They also supply a broad range of bolts, from M5 to M70, through their associated companies.
Serving both the automotive and industrial sectors, Simmonds Marshall is a trusted original equipment supplier to nearly all major automobile manufacturers in India.
